COVID-19: Treat Your Home or Business!

Everyone has heard of COVID-19 and the risks associated with this pandemic. We have all been cautioned to practice social distancing, wear a mask, and properly sanitize. What you may not know is there are ways in your own home to help protect your family from the spread of COVID-19. A bipolar ionization unit can work with your existing HVAC System to reduce the surface strains to 99.4% within 30 minutes.

What is Bipolar Ionization?

A Bipolar Ionization unit electrically charges the particles in the air, so they group together. Once the particles are grouped together, they become heavier and easier to trap in your filter media, which prevents them from recycling through the air in your home.

Bipolar ionization takes oxygen from the surrounding environment and converts the oxygen atoms so that they cluster around several common airborne irritants such as molds and allergens like pollen, viruses, and bacteria. This makes the airborne irritants denser. Therefore, the irritants are large enough to be captured and filtered through the filter media protecting your equipment.

What brand Bipolar Ionization Units do you sell?

We recommend the Global Plasma Solution (GPS). Global Plasma Solutions (GPS) is the first air purification solution to test SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) in a joint independent study with the Aviation Clean Air and was recently validated to achieve a 99.4% reduction of the surface strain within 30 minutes.

Why should I install a Bipolar Ionization Unit?

We recommend installation to assist in keeping your home healthy for you and your family. These units not only help to reduce COVID-19, but also to reduce the spread of other airborne irritants.

How expensive is the installation of a Bipolar Ionization Unit?

Prices can range from $575.00 to $750.00 per system.

The price for installation can vary based upon the square footage and number of HVAC systems located in your home.

What kind of maintenance is required to keep the Bipolar Ionization Unit working correctly?

There is no maintenance required per the manufacturer for the Bipolar Ionization Unit.

It is strongly recommended that you replace your media filters regularly.

Should I change my filters more often with the Bipolar Ionization Unit?

The bipolar ionization unit job is to make particles stick in your filter so it will be important to check your filter regularly.

It depends on a few factors:

  1. Your current filter changing habits.
  2. The size and merv rating of your filter.
Specialty filters tend to have higher merv ratings; therefore, they are only recommended to be changed once or twice a year depending on the manufacturer.
  3. Do you have any major concerns such as allergies, pets or other pollutants?
If you answered yes, then definitely you should change your filter more frequently, but the frequency depends on your filter size and type.
Some General Guidelines:

Change 1” filters monthly
Larger Filters need to be changed annually, unless directed differently by the manufacturer or every six (6) months for 16+ merv or carbon filters.
